sql query result in XML?

Hi, I have a SQL query that works fine, but do not know how to save it as xml. Can someone please help. Sql = "SELECT ID, name, User XML" I get the following error [Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver] [SQL Server] Line 1: Incorrect syntax near 'XML'.

This applies to MS SQL Server 2005, First a simple query like "SELECT ID, Username for XML AUTO "would create an XML query for you, You could, of course, create an XML data type you have in the result as: DECLARE @ result as XML, a set @ results = (SELECT ID, Username for XML AUTO); Remember that the root node and the XML declaration is not created by default, so you need to add to the current, my suggestion is that you create a CLR implementation, create a stored procedure that returns the XML query, and then in your file. NET CLR implementation, creates a StreamWriter to add the XML declaration line and the root node in the sequence, add the stored procedure output in the sequence and, finally, closes the sequence by adding the closing tag for the XML root node.

Your best choice for any type of Linux is probably to see mySQL 5. MS SQL Server does not work in linux. You can also search Oracle DB or 2, but are generally overkill.

What database server that is compatible with the scripting language?

Can any1 answer my question? I know that the database software is compatible with the server that the scripting language? I want to know about any database known as Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server. Like Oracle can be used by PHP ,…. Thanks a lot if I even have a reference for him.

Paystey is absolutely right, but I wanted to go to a little more detail. To create an application that connects to any database, usually done through something called ODBC or Open Database Connectivity. Almost all databases support accessed through ODBC and most scripting languages have some kind of ODBC support. For example, here ODBC for PHP: http://us3.php.net/uodbc .. and ASP.Net: http://www.developerfusion.com/article/3580/implementing-odbc-in-asp-net/ .. and Python: http://www.egenix.com/products/python/mxODBC/ … and Ruby: http://www.ch-werner.de/rubyodbc/

Compared to industrial-strength database products such as Microsoft's SQL Server, Access is a breeze to use. It runs on PCs rather than servers and is ideal for small- to mid-sized businesses and households. But Access is still intimidating to learn. It doesn't help that each new version crammed in yet another set of features; so many, in fact, that even the pros don't know where to find them all....
