Database / SQL Builder for Mac?
I'm new to programming and am taking a class that forces me to build a database with queries to send to my website that I needed to build for my class. The instructor recommends using Microsoft Access for this task, but Microsoft does not put out for Mac Can someone help me out and say that Database / SQL program made for Mac is better to use for someone who is starting in programming? I need something that has an easy interface and allows me to create the database and queries similar to that of access.
Probably the best known independent PP program for Mac FileMaker. Actually make a program called Bento, which is very similar to Access. Http: / / www.filemaker.com/products/bento/overview.html?csr=bento_overview Your instructor, however, probably can not Bento execute a file. Bento only export to spreadsheets and flat files. In fact, if what you are doing is learning web programming, you want to work with MySQL. It is likely that your new Web site uses MySQL as its database program, so if you build in MySQL, send what you have on your website will be easy. You can get MySQL for free, also download their GUIs management. All these are versions that run on the Mac, but you are required to has some experience with SQL: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.1.html # macosx-http: / / dev.mysql dmg. com/downloads/gui-tools/5.0.html
